Today we has a great meeting here in Cincinnati, Ohio a small group of business people got together to discuss marketing skills that they are using to grow their business. Today I want to introduce you to someone that has helped me in my career as a professional sales person. I started to use many of the principal that I learned in his book "The Greatest Saleman In The World". If you are in sales or building a business from home this is a great book to have. There are many time in business when a person may feel like things are not going right, in his book he give real life example's on how to focus and were we should put our focus.

Og Mandino was poor man that was going to take his life, ready to give up and did not want to face the man in the mirror. He lost his wife and his daughter and was ready to throw his life away. He say's he was dead inside. He did not buy the gun to take his life but want he did is leave us a book that we can use to guide our life.

This book is a great book for those that are looking for strength, who are looking for a life reserve from alcohol, Sex, Drugs. I learned that the human body whats to run to things that make them feel good. Some people feel alcohol, sex, drugs make them feel good. Once you have those things you wake up to the same problems.

Og Mandino started to read some of the great book to start to change his life. He was in the library and begin to build his mind on self development books.

I just wanted to share with you about a home business meeting I went to go see called 5Link. I must say they have great service to offer and pay plan was great.A very good friend ask me to review this business four years ago so when a person asked me to take a look at it I was open. Most of the time this is the way MLM ask you to introduce your business to people.

 I've been working my sales job for years and when you make a sale you have to wait for the next customer so I really like MLM companies because they get paid off the work the first time. When you make a sale with a MLM company as long as your customer uses your service you continue to get paid. Thats called residual income. I use to sale cars so if I sold a car once and got paid over the life of the loan I would be happy, would you?

The meeting was pack with people and I saw great potential in the marketing of the product and service. What I have learned is that it does not matter what the product or service is, its how you market the service or products. Most people get in a MLM or home business and only work family and friends then when that well run dry they drop out to the next business.I will say If I wanted to sale a car I would not go on a motorcycle lot. When you learn how to market you find people that want to join a home business. For example I go you home business forum and find people to join. I learned that for Stephen Pierce book.

I have found that in the last four years to model success, when I sold cars the company put you with the top sales reps and taught duplication. If I did what the top sales people did and said what he or she said  I would have the same outcome. So I took what I learned in the auto world and found a mentor and put what I learn in action online. The biggest thing I learned at the 5Link meeting was taking action.

What is your foundation? When things don’t go your way or the day doesn’t go as you planned how do you stay focused? For me God is the head of my life and I must start my day in prayer, just take a time for myself and be grateful for waking me up.

I read in a book by Anthony Robbins that in every journey you begin with one step. Everyone is going through something, but it’s at the moment when you decide (cut off) any thing in your mind that limits you from achieving your goals or plans. You tell yourself I will work toward my plans, I will start again. I will just start.

I was inspired to blog today when a close friend shared what he was going through in relocating to Atlanta, Ga and how in his past life he had all the toys and nice home and now he is in a place were God is working in his like. On 04/14/2013 I lost my job, how do I remember? It was my daughter birthday, I was a company man I was sailing more cars and lived at the dealership, I missed more kid’s events but I was ok because I was making money. I am learning how to find my purpose and in this search I want to share what I have learned in reading a article by Paula Boon. In her article she talked about how every January we tend to make new year resolutions and get a wave of ambition and desire to lost weight or make money or find that dream job. But its hard to do when all those plans and schemes are swirling in our heads. With internet marketing or MLM we can get side track if we don’t start making money fast, we tend to quite. Here’s a 12 step road map to get exactly where you want to go this year.

1. Determine your path commit to action begin

• State a note book - I take notes of my mentors then I share with my team things I learn.

• Promise yourself that you will focus on your passion this year

Today I was reading an article and the person said something that I have been reading a lot since I have been building my online business, the person said that the money you will make and the people you help and serve is connected to your personal value.

How can a person succeed online or offline? According to the information above you must help people or serve people and build value in helping people and if they benefit you will grow your income. Do you think this is true?

Lets see how this works, when I buy something or see a movie and enjoy the movie I tell my family and friends then they go watch the movie or eat at the restaurant I recommended. I think that we must have a great mind set when starting a business. We will not always get the results we are after when we start that business, so it is important to have the right mind set that can help you continue when everyone has jumped out or have a negative review of what your doing.

#1 Mind Set- There is no reason that success can’t happen to you or me. This is a true statement if you have the right state of mind you will make things happen. Example I purchased a book I was not getting the results but as I reread the information I was not putting the information into action, so was the program not working or was I not working the program?

You have to have the ability to take action and believe in your outcome. I have been with an online business now for a year GDI (Global Domain International) and when I first stated I was getting people in left and right, then when people started dropping out I started to get discourage, but the company kept growing and somebody somewhere was working the business, I just had to keep plugging at building my business. I started to look for people like me people that wanted to make money. If a person is looking for a job that person is different from a person looking for a home business, and they hang in different forums on the internet.

In closing a person must keep a mind set that they can succeed and the commitment to post something daily or put an ad out daily or tweet or communicate about your business and watch your business grow.
